G is for Grafitti

This is what happens when I go online shopping when one of my sons is about – I tend to buy stuff! I was just having a little peruse of the Tessuti website when Tom came for a visit and he thought this fabric would be perfect for more boardies. To be truthful, I’m not sure if this fabric is graffiti, but it fitted the G theme so well, I decided to stretch the truth a bit (Mark thinks I’m doing this a lot!).

I can see a Mexican sugar skull, ban the bomb signs, guns, and lots of writing. It’s really interesting fabric.

Tom is clearly as enamoured with having his photo taken as Archie!

The back view – I didn’t do a perfect job of matching the pattern, but, hey, Tom won’t know – or care.

Once again I used Butterick 4664, which is such an easy pattern. Both boys claim that the boardies are really comfortable and easy to wear. An added bonus is that they don’t seem to fall down in the surf!

  1. Ok this is GREAT fabric!!! Everytime I read your blog I find out more about sourcing fabric suppliers. These board shorts look fantastic…with the added benefit that the Mexicna sugar skull and guns may scare off inquisitive sharks…
