Me Made May 2025

After last year when I posted my Me Made May 2024 in April of 2025, I thought I’d get organised, so here is an overview of what I wore in May. I should say that this is a record used quite often by me so it’s a necessary activity. I apologise in advance for the poor quality of the photos; I had to screenshot them as I had cleaned out my photo library.

1 May: Vogue 9305 from thrifted silk and a pair of jeans I made for my husband and then swiped.

2 May: My Pattern Union pinafore from a 1960s curtain and a really, really old yellow tee, pattern long forgotten

Screenshot

3 May: My Diane von Furstenberg dress made in 2014 using the original pattern, Vogue 1549, which I still have. Fabric came from knitwitfabrics and is an Italian cotton knit which is quite lovely

4 May: Fibremood Clover trousers from thrifted fabric and an Elbe Textiles @Staley top made from striped merino knit. I had been cooking and was rather frazzled as it’s not an everyday activity.

Day 5: Playing with golden wattle wearing Hug hoodie from linen/silk knit from Knitwit Fabrics and Stokx Square Pants from sofa fabric

Screenshot

Day 6: Stokx Hacker top and jeans made for husband. How good are these trees? Just south of Manjimup.

Screenshot

Day 7: wool shirt made for husband and shrunk in the wash, Fibremood Clover pants and knitted headband that looks like I have a bandage on my head

Screenshot

Day8: that’s wattle blossom I’m cleaning off my Pattern Union cora blouse, not breakfast! Teamed with the sofa Stokx Square Pants.

Screenshot

Day 9: zero waste trousers and blouse Pattern b from Asuka Hamada Sweet Clothes, which I wore out to lunch with friends.

Screenshot

Day 10: Pattern Union Cora blouse as a heavily hacked dress. Tote is made from washable paper and leather handles from a thrown away sofa found on a verge.

Screenshot

Day11: It’s Mother’s Day and I wore my Stokx Flirt Skirt made from a green sheet and a blouse from Woman’s Realm WR2 from the 1940s which had belonged to my mother, the fabric came from Jenny, @joeandroxy.

Day 12: Stokx Skater top, black trousers, pattern long forgotten, and felt bag made by @martienvanzuilen

Screenshot

Day 13: Orange Stokx Square Pants and Liz Haywood Zero Waste Xanthea shirt made from Liberty cotton flannel bought from The Fabric Store in LA.

Screenshot

Day 14: Stokx Square Pants  made from my Mum’s sofa fabric, a Pattern Union Eva Tee made from fine wool which I dyed with leaves and logwood, and a long cardigan refashioned from a rtw skirt.

Screenshot

Day 15: self-drafted jeans with a Closet Core Tee from free fabric from REMida, and knitted necklace

Screenshot

Day 16: Stokx Flirt Skirt  and a Liz Haywood Zero Waste Sandie Shirt made from the most beautiful thrifted Japanese cotton.

Screenshot

Day 17: A pinafore dress made using Simplicity 4789 and a piece of vintage curtain. Teamed with a Pattern Union Lulu tee and my knitted necklace.

Screenshot

Day 18: Jeans made for husband, adopted by me as they were a bit small for him, with a tunic made from fabric that had belonged to my Mum. The pattern is the Tessuti Frankie top, I really like this pattern and must make more. There was a “Day on the Bay” down on the river and it was wonderful. Next year we will round up all the grandchildren and take them.

Day 19: Stokx Skater top and Style Arc Elle pants.

Day 24: At the Air Orchestra installation in Liz Haywood Smith Pinafore also from upcycled jeans, Liz Haywood zero waste jacket from a pink blanket and vintage Liberty of London scarf. Tights made by me too.

Screenshot

Day 25: Back at the Air Orchestra with little one in orange Stokx Square Pants very, very old wool skivvy from my own design and a hacked Pattern Union Cora Blouse hoodie.

I thought I’d give you a little light relief. The two little misses came to play and did some serious drawing and baby nurturing. I’m going to make them some proper bedding as they grab any old fabric. Annie the Waldorf doll is lying under the pram mattress!
