Floral Stokx Skater top

Ever since last winter I have been trying to get around to making another Stokx Skater top, and dropping the waistline. I found my last one a bit high in the waist, although it doesn’t look high, it just feels it.

I used some beautiful cotton knit given to me by Jenny (@joeandroxy on IG). It has flowers and what I feel is an animal print (are there zebras hiding in there?), and although my initial reaction was that I didn’t think the fabric was “me”, I couln’t pass it up as it felt so good. Now I feel that it’s definitely me!

I teamed it with my new denim Stokx Square Pants as I feel they are a match made in heaven.

My absolute favourite thing about this top is that peplum at the back, it has exactly the right amount of flare.

I feel a lot more comfortable with the dropped waistline. It also makes the top slightly longer – I added 3cms – which I also like.

This is such a great top, I love the princess seams and the higher neckline.

It was a joy to wear this on a clear and crisp day.

and finally more sewing from Miss G and her Dad. We will not discuss the amount of mess on the floor afterwards!
