Over the last few months I’ve made some cards and I thought it was worth reporting on them. They are all made on my Cricut Maker 3.
I started with the card for my granddaughter’s first birthday, which is fairly self explanatory.
Then I made one for my newest granddaughter when she was born. And yes, it is very cute, unfortunately I didn’t take a photo of the finished card so this is before I glued the front pages together.
The images are affixed with padded glue dots which gives a 3D effect.
I may have reported this one somewhere before, but Miss G loves both Bluey and Ema Memma so I made her a card consisting of her favourite characters in the form of removable magnets so they can take up residence on the fridge. I used my Cricut to cut the magnets, having printed on adhesive photo paper, which I stuck on a magnetic sheet and used the Print then Cut setting.
I made a layered card for a friend celebrating a big birthday
and one for my son too
It wasn’t all cards though, I made a gift for a friend’s daughter who had a baby, and also one for her as it was her birthday. A couple of little bags, which I filled with things, a card and a onesie with a horse, as her daughter is heavily into horses. Miss G asked why I had made a cow, which made me laugh. The horse appliqué and the bunny on the little bag were cut on my Cricut too. I added a real sheepskin bobtail on the bunny.
I made my husband a Valentine’s Day card which I think brought some of my skills together, a stitched card was obvious and such fun to make.
Over the last couple of years I’ve made a few 3D cards, which I’m very poor at documenting, so here is my latest one. The front has cute cutouts.
and the inside has this pop up butterfly.
which flaps when it’s opened and closed.
Even the envelope has a butterfly flap, which I really like. This design came from Jennifer Maker.
I’m sure this won’t be my last card post as I seem to make a lot. I haven’t even covered Christmas cards here and I’m about to use the Cricut to make fancy labels. Stay tuned!
