Mystery blogger award

Linda from Nicedressthanksimadeit has nominated me for a Mystery Blogger Award, for which I thank her.

I had never heard of this award and suspect that many readers won’t have either, so I have lifted the following information from Linda’s post:

Mystery Blogger Award is an award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging, and they do it with so much love and passion.” Created by: Okoto Enigma

Here are “The Rules” to the “Mystery Blogger Award”:

I have been contemplating the three things people might like to know about me and truly struggled, so here are my offerings:

  1. I am quite short and followers of my blog are often surprised when they meet me in real life. This has become something of a joke and Megan from Meggipeg always refers to me as a MIRL (midget in real life). I must say, I would rather be a GIRL (giant in real life), but you get what you are given in terms of height.
  2. I can fly small fixed wing planes and was encouraged to do aerobatics to improve my knowledge of what my plane could do and thereby improve my flying skills. I have recently taken up quilting and feel the same way – I’m sure the precision required has improved my general sewing skills.
  3. I have been sewing and knitting my whole life, but crochet is a relatively new skill for me and I have never made a whole garment. I recently mastered Tunisian crochet and have made a blanket but it’s a rather odd shape so assume that I acquired more stitches by the end than I started with.

The questions that Linda has asked her nominees to answers are:

Now I have to nominate some bloggers who have not previously been nominated for this award so here are my few:

Sharon from Petite and Sewing

Andrew from Men sew

Jane from janemakes

Sonja from Sewing a la carte

Crystal from Sewing Vortex

These lucky people now have five of my questions to answer so that we can learn a little more about them:

  1. What is one skill you wish you had but don’t?
  2. Do you like to watch podcasts, movies or listen or music while you sew? What is your favourite
  3. What fibs/untruths do you tell to make more time to sew/make?
  4. What is your favourite sewing tip?
  5. Have you ever solved a fitting issue successfully and how did you do it? If not, what would you most like to learn to fit?

Thanks again to Nice Dress, thanks I made it for nominating me, and I look forward to seeing who picks up the baton!
