I was so pleased with my first Jenna cardi, that I immediately made a second one. This version is a little different as I added 6cm to the length and I am so pleased with it.
This cardigan/jacket, fits me so well, it was comfortable to wear and I felt quite elegant in it, so I deem it a success.
I’ve been asked a couple of times about the ease. I made the cardi in my size and don’t feel as though the negative ease makes it tight. I thought I would include a photo of it buttoned up to show the fit.
I made this cardigan on Sunday afternoon in time to wear to my retirement function on Monday. Today is my last official day of work (i.e. the last day for which I shall receive remuneration – eek!).
I had the most wonderful send off from work and I managed to get through it without shedding a tear.
I thought I would show the cardi in action – cutting the stunning cake made by Leitha of Obsessivecakedecorating fame (go and have a look at some of her posts – they are amazing.
This photo doesn’t really do justice to the wonderful cake she made me – not only does it look fabulous, but it tasted sensational too. Here is a close up before we desecrated it by eating it!
and look at the back of it – a little kangaroo. How thoughtful!
Details are: Jenna Cardi by Muse Patterns made from a fabulous knit fabric remnant bought a couple of years ago from Knitwit. Teamed with a black t-shirt (StyleArc Susan) and black trousers which are a heavily modified Vogue pattern. Shoes are Stubbs and Wootton.
I decided to show my pleasure on retiring by a little jump for joy. I learnt two things: (a) my vertical leap is now rubbish, and (b) there is no way to jump in the air without pulling a face!
