This beautiful colonial building is also in Nathan Road and I think is the original Hong Kong Baptist University building (we are currently conferencing in the modern version).
The view from the balcony overlooks the millions of shops, but I do love the trees.
Truly, this is the quickest make and I always think that a woven tee looks a bit dressier than a knit tee shirt. I made the sleeves and the body a little longer than the original pattern, as I find it more comfortable to have a longer body when the top is teamed with pants (particularly fitted pants).
The conference I was attending had a young woman teaching interested people to make Chinese love knots.
I immediately wanted to master this charming technique and I made these two knots.
Details: Pattern is Grainline woven scout tee, slightly modified. Fabric is silk from Potter’s Textiles. Pants are Vogue 8859. Setting is Hong Kong, and photography was by my friend and colleague, Bea.
