Black and grey rugby

Well, we are in Stockholm and I made this rugby top for Mark literally at the last minute before we left – I actually thought I would be sewing the buttons on when we got here, but I managed to finish it 10 minutes before the car came to take us to the airport.

Here he is in the market – look at those flowers!

This is the second rugby I have made for Mark, from Stretch-n-Sew 1758. Once again I used two remnants from my stash and pieced them together – the stripe matching took forever! I used black rubber buttons on this one – they can’t be seen in the photos unfortunately, but they actually look pretty good.

I have no idea what this statue is, but it is stunningly beautiful.

I could go on and on, but I won’t! One last photo – of me in front of yet another beautiful building. I am wearing my reversible jacket, a striped Burda gathered raglan top and jeans that I remade so that they vaguely fit me. And yes, it is pretty chilly here!

  1. I am impressed by your prolific sewing! That shirt looks like a winner, for sure! We will be in Stockholm in a few weeks, so will need to pack for cooler weather than I’m used to having. I’ve been working on lots of layering pieces for this cruise trip.

    1. Thanks Sally. Yes, the wind is icy, but it might be warmer in a few more weeks. Layers work really well. I knitted a beanie on the flight and might be wearing it in the evenings – I had gloves and scarf on last night.

  2. I am in awe, Sue! You are the queeen of the machine!
Mark looks great in the fruits of your labour.

    Stockholm looks pretty good, too!
