I’ve been knitting this for a while now, but have finished it just in time for the hottest part of the year!
This is the Hitofude Cardigan by Hiroko Fukatsu which I found on Ravelry. I knitted it in the Tili Tomas Voile de la Mer yarn previously used for my blue seaweed vintage jumper. I still have a skein left – I don’t think I’ll ever completely stashbust this yarn!
I do think that this cardigan is a thing of beauty and love the way that it falls at the back – even in an out of focus photograph (not sure what’s going on – I think the camera found the Frangipani leaves) !
I generally don’t like things that fall open at the front, but I do like this
This is one of those garments knitted in one piece that is much loved by knitters everywhere. I can recommend this one. It has enough pattern to maintain interest, but is not mindless knitting. However, although the pattern instructions are easy to follow, I did basically knit the top half twice as I made just too many mistakes (the knitting might not be mindless, but I sometimes am!). I would really recommend the pattern – the knitting is fun, but the finished garment is gorgeous, if I say so myself.
