It’s not easy being green

Me-Made-May ’13 has been going for 7 days now and, although I only pledged to wear something handmade twice a week, I got all competitive with myself and have worn nearly all my handmades already. Today I’m pretending that it’s cold (actually it is a bit chilly) and wearing a green Filatura di Crosa jumper made from Filature di Crosa Superior yarn – this is an ultra light and ultra soft cashmere/silk blend. It is gorgeous yarn. I’ve had the jumper for a few years now, but it doesn’t look too worse for wear. I’ve teamed it with the predictable StyleArc Linda pants (which now seem to be too big for me) and my Flinstone’s necklace.

I’ve been playing with my overlocker and have made this bag for my mother. It is made completely on the overlocker, including inserting the zip. It’s a really simple design, which is lucky because, since finishing it today, I’ve got orders. This will be a fabulous stash buster!

I am thinking about what to wear tomorrow and have decided that I need to make something – tonight! Sooo, signing off to get sewing…
